Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin says Oklahomans know the pain of a public attack and have the victims of the Monday Boston Marathon bombing in their thoughts.

Fallin began a ceremony to sign four school safety bills by expressing condolences to Boston, where three people were killed and nearly 200 injured by a pair of explosions near the annual marathon's finish line. She says Oklahomans understand how that kind of attack feels, referring to the Oklahoma City federal building bombing that killed 168 people on April 19, 1995.

Oklahoma City holds an annual memorial marathon with this year's scheduled for April 28. Officials say it's still on.

Fallin says local police, the state Office of Homeland Security and other officials have been reviewing safety plans.
