Safe bridges and easily traversed highways are an economic issue and a quality of life issue. Modernizing our turnpikes and fixing our bridges will help to create jobs and improve transportation in all corners of the state.

• Established the Bridge Improvement and Turnpike Modernization Plan. Launched an initiative to modernize the state’s largest turnpikes and eliminate all structurally deficient state bridges by 2018. Provided resources to fix hundreds of county level bridges throughout the state.
