U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin raised the most money during the second quarter among the four announced gubernatorial candidates, campaign reports filed with the state Ethics Commission show.

Attorney General Drew Edmondson still leads with the most cash on hand among the four candidates running for governor in 2010, records show.

In the GOP lieutenant governor’s race, state Sen. Todd Lamb is off to a fast start in raising money. His report shows he has nearly 10 times the amount of cash on hand than the other Republican contenders.

The deadline to file campaign reports was midnight Friday.

Edmondson is dueling Lt. Gov. Jari Askins for the Democratic nomination. Edmondson has raised $973,211, including in kind contributions, so far. Askins has raised $234,496.

Fallin, R-Oklahoma City, is being opposed by state Sen. Randy Brogdon, who is making his first bid for a statewide office, for the GOP nomination. Fallin has raised $454,444 so far; Brogdon has raised $74,482 to date.

Records show Edmondson, a Democrat, has $623,996 on hand at the end of the June 30 reporting period. He raised $266,531 during the most recent reporting period, April 1 to June 30. His campaign reported spending $115,309 during the period.

Edmondson boosted his campaign earlier this year by transferring $231,792 from his attorney general campaign. Edmondson announced June 10 he was running for governor.

Askins reported having $145,251 on hand as of June 30. Her campaign reported raising $144,181 during the period and spending $88,244.

Fallin reported raising $340,712 and spending $151,413 during the most recent reporting period. Her report shows she has $283,352 on hand.

Brogdon, R-Owasso, reported raising $44,723 and spending $31,081 during the third quarter. Brogdon reported having $43,401 on hand as of June 30.

Lieutenant governor.

Lamb, R-Edmond, has not yet officially announced his candidacy, but his campaign raised $195,285 between June 12, when he opened his campaign account, and June 30, the end of the reporting period, records show.

Lamb transferred $57,761 from his Senate campaign account, giving him a total of $253,046. He reported $413 in expenses, giving him $252,633 on hand as of June 30.

State Reps. John Wright and Colby Schwartz didn’t come close to matching the amount of money raised by Lamb.

Wright, R-Broken Arrow, reported having $23,620 on hand. Wright announced his intention May 19 to run for lieutenant governor. He carried over $25,421 from his House campaign account and reported raising $2,354 during the reporting period. He reported expenditures of $4,156.

Schwartz, R-Yukon, reported having $26,432 on hand. Schwartz, who announced June 5 that he would run for lieutenant governor, carried over $16,603 from his House account and reported raising $9,830 during the three-month reporting period. He reported expenditures of $1.12.

State Sen. Kenneth Corn is the only Democrat to announce so far for lieutenant governor.

Corn, D-Poteau, reported having $155,957 on hand as of June 30. Corn reported raising $56,485 during the reporting period and spending $24,342.

Attorney general

Ryan Leonard, an Oklahoma City attorney, filed a report showing he raised $119,376 during the reporting period, giving him a total of $147,369.  Leonard is the only announced candidate for the attorney general position.

Labor commissioner

Contributions during the second quarter were fairly even in the labor commissioner’s race.  Labor Commissioner Lloyd Fields, a Democrat, reported having $1,365 on hand as of June 30. His report showed he raised $2,000 during the past quarter and spent $2,518.

Jason Reese, a Republican, reported having $709 on had at the end of the reporting period. His report showed he raised $2,155 and spent $4,355 during the reporting period.
