Tulsa - Governor Mary Fallin was in Tulsa Tuesday to talk about the importance of aviation in our state.

She spoke at an Aviation Conference sponsored by the FAA.

"Aviation is one of our top industries in the state," she said, "There are over 44,000 Oklahomans that have a job related to aviation. It contributes over $5 billion in income for our state."

The Governor also talked about the upcoming layoffs at American Airlines saying she hopes the state can create new jobs to help those laid off.
